Dungeon n Field

while im still stuggling with what type of game to make it.. ARPG, Tactics or kindof free for all semi realtime battles like Generation of Chaos (check that game out if you havent).. i have got quite a few nice resources for a game now. it'll be a tale of two (or more?) warring countries. ill put a few pictures up.

Looks amazing, that 3D artwork is so very cool. I hope your project goes well; purely out of my selfish want to play it ;P

Thanks guys, some of the models i didnt make.. buildings, trees, castle. decided to buy some to speed up production.
the rest i made. ive done nothing this past month or two though. as far as the actual game goes, i havent got 'a game' as such just a bunch of resources, and several different gameplay systems. i mean, i have a halfbuilt grid based 'tactics' system, but then i also have action rpg controls and ai, and i switch between them when testing resources.
really hoping to get back into it and make SOMETHING. whatever type of game it is.
all iv done recently is drawing anime style potraits.. not even sure if im going to use them. heres the latest one.

i do have several maps for each system though. moreso for action rpg, got quite a few maps linked together for that plus heaps of halfmade dungeons.
i did make a random dungeon generator for it too.. but its slowish and not brilliant

i made a video of that dungeon generation stuff too.. i havent touched it for a few months but i think i never showed it before. anyway theres 3 generations of the same lvl in the video

Never thought about using actors instead of an algorithm. That's a clever way of achieving that. :)

It's actually one of the fastest ways to make use of A* pathfinding without having to write one from scratch. In fact, it's all that you would need in order to make a dungeon generator in 001. Writing a custom algorithm would be an ineffective use of time, unless you really desire special results that cannot be achieved by A*.
