Who Do You Write Like?

Postby Tomeh999 » Sat Apr 07, 2012 9:00 pm

I found this siteiwl.me that checks something you write into it and compares it to the writing of novelists. I'm not too sure how accurate it is but it got a good mywot score.

Supposedly I write like H. P. Lovecraft and David Foster. Proof:

H. P. Lovecraft
David Foster

Sadly I don't know who either of those people are so I wouldn't know how good they are :P

Hmm....I don't know. Maybe it's on to something.... =p

I got H.P. Lovecraft as well. Sad, because I've never read his works, though I am familiar with them.

Seems that if it's too short it just says Stephen King.
Mine was about the size of the gray box, with random mutterings...

I write like James Joyce.

There was a man who walked upon the earth. He had a $50 banknote in his pocket. And he would never give it away. When he died, he was buried, but without his bill. One year after he was buried, graverobbers would open his grave, only to find less than a half of the note in the man's hand. So much for trying to rob him.

EDIT:

There's no art
To find the mind's construction in the face:
He was a gentleman on whom I built
An absolute trust.

"Macbeth, scene IV"

You write like Charles Dickens!

If "Incoherent mess" was a person, I would probably write like him. ;)

Seriously, I write like Cory Doctorow apparently.

So apparently, writing in 'nyan' over and over again means that you write like Agatha Christie.

Way to go, crappy site.

I write like E.B. White when doing prose often... I have a pretty similar literary voice... "and the chimney, not to be outdone by the logs, decided to catch light as well." :D

My poetry sometimes reflects on Whitman with the use of metaphors and breaks, but I try to do more rhyming than him so I'm not sure...
