Fezzo Quest Demo 1.9

The game was paused in updates for a while but now it is back, though this project has glitches that i would wish mike to fix i will attempt to continue working on it!

Long ago, small furry creatures called fezzos roamed the earth. When humans appeared, they became afraid of the fezzos and secluded them to an island with small space that they call, fezzo island. Despite there cute features, fezzos can be very deady. You a fezzo inlisting in the fezzo army to fight shadow fezzos(another race of fezzo), will have to save the world while fighting in a war!

(Demo 1.9 released on Feb 9th 2009 )

-Jukebox Room
-Fezzo healing Rock environment (available on website)
-Changing your race in game
-Many areas to explore!
-New! Animation for claw!
-Nicer Menu
-2 bosses
-new aqua town
-Deathmatch mode(In demo 1.9)

They look funny :lol: but... you made a character... you didn't ask it on the forums or download somewhere. that's the point. that means you are actually working on this game. i remember some guys from 2007 and 2006. they're games were horrible. they weren't even trying. they just made a message another message and a fight. no quests, no big story line, some kind of strange walk from AK47 to swords knifes maces and magic? WT* ?

Making a game can take loads of time. Maybe you don't know, but most games ends up taking several years to make. Their problem was to release a demo too early, then work on the main stuff. And a demo only consists of the intro of the storyline - so of course nobody else would know the storyline. Remember as well that nobody here is proffesional. Making a game requires planning, so unless the devolper doesn't know that, he already have planned out what to do, all the stories and quests. They just need it to be reality.

But about the game though. Why did the fezzos get secluded to an island, and who are they in war with?

Excellent idea for a game! Kinda reminds me of the movie Grimlens. So are you a good one or a regular person in the game? You might want to add more to your maps if they look anything like that screenshot. Put in some enviroments and other tilesets, maybe buildings or something ... and lights. Looks kinda blank.

Also nice sprites and resources! Make more of those kinds of things. They look really good.

I know it looks blank because I posted that in the early stages.... Well anyway the first demo should be out by tommorow earliest. It should include one mission at least. Here i'll include a new screen...

Hmm. Actually, your screenshots aren't bad, so are the characters.
Try working on the details a wee bit more. You're almost there.
And remember to introduce the plot, or you'll end up with quite a number of lost players.

You might want to re-draw your own tree resources and things. Maybe put in some crazy bushes or something. I like the fuzzies.

Development updates :) :


1. The first mission is more clear to understand
2.getting rid of "hall of fame" replacing with jukebox room
3.Front menu
4. second mission partially done
5. You can even change your fezzo race in game!

I liked the Fezzoz, and you got very many custom recourses! I found a bug, you can't walk into walls! You should also add more sounds, and create cool effects! This will make the game totaly good!

well for that, it some times has trouble making it through usually it works though. What I can do is make the gaps wider which will make it easier to walk through. When the final game is finished I will try to add small details like effects and things.

10/22/08

I may have fixed the wall glitch by reducing the size of the collision rectangle. I didn't have any problems so far but we will see in the next demo :)

one question though, does the game ever crash? If it does I need to submit it to mike, It somestimes crashes on me but i'm not entirely sure if the game crashes for anyone else...

Just a bit of advice. Work on the graphic quality.
They look very stickman-like.

Here's a tip then. Edit it pixel-by-pixel. It's tedious, but the results are excellent.

Thanks i'll keep that in mind, well anyway I have been slacking off on the game for a while and I am starting up again, currently I am on the second boss, the next demo is expected to be out this weekend.


12/21/08---Demo 1.7 out now, this contains the first boss(Shadow Fezzo) and now the second boss is shadow squid, in the next version you will get to learn more about the storyline. Also I added more detail to the aqua kingdom area and added a town to there too. :D

1/1/09---happy new year! I am making a new feature inm the game as well that i call deathmatch mode, it is an endless freeeplay mode to practice your skills, you will be able to chose from shadow Fezzo or Fezzo to play as.

New Characters? There are no new characters(right now), though I do have a screenshot of deathmatch mode that I am waiting to upload.

uhh dude, that was irrelevant, well anyway, to whom it may concern, fezzo quest is actually coming back! After solving alot of bugs, the new demo was released on febuary 6th
