A Request For User Avatars

Postby Redemption » Sat Dec 03, 2011 1:50 am

I'm sorry if I'm a bit blunt, I want to see If Mike could do anything about how the avatar system works. I'm annoyed that I have to resize every avatar I make and or find. Could there be a feature where it auto resizes it? Also, the file max (32kb) annoyed me, because I had made an avatar that was 32.9 which really bothered me. I'm sorry if I'm being a nuisance or wrong topic, or dont have the privelige to request due to not being a subscriber, thank you.

I believe that this is a phpBB restriction.

I removed the file size limit, but the resizing will have to be done at your own discretion, since there's currently no active mods being worked on that do this, and I don't really think it's a high priority right now. Maybe once miroki123 has some spare time he can work on it.

Shouldn't be that hard since php already has built in functions for resizing

That's a naive perspective :P. Yes, there are functions to do it, but the phpBB3 codebase is far from small.
