Because of people going off topic in the Next Version topic I've decided to make this topic dedicated to Wow.

Reviving Thread because "Free Quest Ideas" is going off-topic. And also because "Wrath Of The Lich King" has come out.

Good: Death Knight class is epic. New areas. Higher level cap. More story-oriented. Lich King looks awesome and actually checks on you every now and again.

Bad: Death Knight class ruins the need for rogues, warriors, warlocks, druids, etc. Death Knight class could possibly single-handedly kill WoW. Lich King is shorter than expected.

WAY off mate, death knights arn't extrmely good tanks, capable, but not good. so war and druid out, their 1h dps absolutly sucks, rogue out, their 2h dps can't match a hunters right now, unno why you say warlocks

I believe your comparing at level 60-65, where DK gear is so OP its not even funny. there they can kill everything. Get to northrend and you die as much as everyone else.

Yeah, that's not true... at all... infact Horde in my experience have no idea what they're doing.

Me- Chrianrda- level 80 warlock- undermine- alliance

Pokit wrote:Bad: Death Knight class ruins the need for rogues, warriors, warlocks, druids, etc. Death Knight class could possibly single-handedly kill WoW. Lich King is shorter than expected.

Lies, all of it.

1. Rogues- At 80, straight DPS sucksssssssss

2. Warriors- While DKs can do an alright job of tanking, when it comes down to it, that's not what they're meant for. They can take it up to a point, and after that they fail. DPS wise, look at rogues.

3. Warlocks- WTF? Nothing can replace a warlock, and I'm not just saying that because it's my class. Can a DK soulstone, summon, make heathstones, transform into a demon form, or keep a mulitude of different use demons at their finger tips? Can they cast the dots to make a person cringe or have the bursts for a quick kill? Tell me exactly how they can replace a warlock...

4. Druids- I don't really care about droods. But they don't have the HoTs.

So.... yeah....

Really don't see what's so fun about WoW with nerds at 80 few hours after the expansion was released.

27 hours was the record, some frenchie

2 people would have beat him, but they were attacking mobs that other people were killing, so they were getting the exp. Blizzard deemed it illegal on the spot and de-leveld em

Probably that. They pretty much slaughter everybody. I can't tell you how many times someone was about to cap the flag in Warsong and a DK used their Death Grip, and killed the FC in under 10 seconds.

Warriors- I was referring more to DPS warriors than tanks.

Warlocks- An Unholy DK is about the same as a Warlock. Instead of a demon, you can raise the dead, giving you a more-than-nice little added DPS. Who needs DoTs when you put out an insane amount of DPS? You also can turn into... what was it.. a Lich? when you died. They don't need to transform into a demon form, use healthstones, or Summon. Warlocks do really well when raiding, but as far as solo-leveling goes, DKs are getting all the love.

Rogues- Blizzard, by changing the talent tree, pretty much killed combat rogues. Combat Rogues used to totally PWN, I know from experience. Right now, DKs pretty much replace the role that Combat Rogues used to have.

warlocks- you turn into a ghoul on death, you can turn into undead as a talent. unholy, you don't put out insane dps, not in any way. Like i said, a hunter in half blues can beat a DK in most epics on dps pretty easily

Not even true!

An Unholy DK does WAY less DPS than a warlock, and our minions do WAY more damage than your little ghoul. I can raise the dead and actually let them be able to fight as themselves with all of their own abilities, not as a ghoul that has what.... 4-5 attacks that don't do good damage and all aren't really even attacks, plus it only lasts for about five minutes. Insane amount of DPS? Pfft! I can pwn a DK any day. Solo leveling? HA! Have you leveled to 80 luv? What do you call solo leveling? Locks are insane when it comes to leveling. Not only do we have great DPS for leveling, we have our own tanks. When you have a level 80 of every class you can say what the DK is going to do. Untill then... just... no.

Btw, my DoTs can melt your face off.

Yep. Buying Gold and/or power-leveling is really cheating. And those guys in China constantly farming gold and doing XP grinds, you really have to feel sorry for them.

Guild Wars is a sad atempt at creating an MMO.

No offense intended, but it's almost like they were so much out there to kill WoW that they forgot to make a compelling and addicting game. They got their act together with the later expansions, but at first it was almost like they were just out to try and destroy WoW. And that's it.

Just watch someone complain about how totally wrong I am.

(The company is currently working on a sequel, Guild Wars 2. Will it work any better with the public?)

Guild Wars is fun for a while but gets old once the story is done.

LOTRO is the best available if you get into it. :)
Most people on here (Deeds, Ajax) got to level 10 or so and got bored. The game doesn't start out that great. But I've had the best experience on that game, and it's the top rated MMO on http://www.MMORPG.com

OK, here is a screen of me, back in the good old tbc days:

Image

I'm playing on a private server, but it isn't high rate or a fun server...low rates and stupid looting...
I had the 70lvl quickly but the items....It took me a long time to get something good from the arena and dungeons...(I don't go to raids, I like to flight solo)

I dislike the common systems used in theMMORPG genre, but I do like some few. That's not WoW.

Because you're talking about it instead of reporting it to us with a link so we can merge it, but does it really matter anyway?

Didn't think of reporting it :? sorry

Well it mattered back before I was banned... there was allot of thread strictness going on at the time, like cramming everything from one subject into a thread. But thats just why I'm so used to it...

The newest expansion changed many maps that was in the first release without any of the expansions. It's much different as shown in the video.

It's shown in the video, more fire, cracks, craters, inferno, lava, and some somewhat deserted places has been given plants, life, grass and trees.

It's like you have a specific climate, then you transform it into another climate.

The "old world" was the main planet that was there in when WoW first came out; after the expansions were released, people started calling it the Old World.

MMORPG's that are Cheap/free, have bad quality.(I.E Runescape, Last Choas, Rohan, Etc.)
Nothing in life is free. 15$ for a game this amazing is a good deal.
Not only do you meet new people, But in order to have a good experience in a game, you have to work with others.

World of Warcraft, is one of the best games Ive played in a while.
I quit Console gaming for WoW.

I'm still not a big fan of P2P per month, though. And some free games do fair pretty well considering that they were made by a small team of people. But you have to admit, there are better P2Ps than WOW, but it's not bad for an online community.
Offline however... that's a different story.

If WoW was F2P, god knows how many server upgrades they'll need.

Strangely, WoW does show a large diversity of people online. Particularly ones you don't want to meet, but then again, don't all MMOs do?

For players to exercise their ability to make groups and to get rare and powerful equipment. Basically, they're the bread and butter of MMOs.

But somehow most MMOs turn it into their only source of experience.

What? I hate Rune scape, it's a piece of sh!t...Anyways, dungeons are like raid instances, but for n00bs. If ur a 80 lvl warrior and you have a holy priest with you, it's just too damn easy...Hit! Heal! Hit! Heal! Hit! Heal!........

Yeah, if you're doing an instance that's 10 levels below you.

Actually, most MMOs do a quest-or-grind experience thing, dungeons are a pain to do with a group, especially a Pug and not a group full of guildmates.

I always thought more along the lines of 'boredom' and 'hooking nerds to play'.
Then again, it was effective, but WoW just confounds me with so many controls...

Maybe they just want to waste their time until they reach the age they want to be in. Or else they really aren't getting bored by playing it after all.

WoW is quite a business because of 3 factors. You have to play to pay, and the game is never ending, and the developers can never endingly add content.
