Higher speed, slower polygon movement.

Postby Danny » Fri Nov 25, 2016 6:21 am

I've got some tiles that have polygon collisons that are setup to act as ramps (See screenshot). I've noticed an issue that i can't seem to overcome, when you walk up a tile that as a polygon ramp collison the actor seems to get "Slower" if you increase the speed.

For example the main actors speed is "20". You walk up the ramp, it seems fine, but then if i increase the speed to say 30, 40, 50 etc it seems to get slower and slower to walk up the polygon collision.

How can i fix this? I don't lose any frame rate, i get no game lag, zombies don't lag or slow down, game runs fines, just this polygon issue. It's making it appear that my game is experiencing slowdown/frame loss when it's not.

Thanks! :D

This is likely an issue with how ramps work and how collisions work in 001, since the greater speeds are likely causing the actor to get pushed into the ramps.

Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to fix this.
