Any screens on your game should be in your games thread. But a thread for screenshots of your computer, other games and such is a cool idea...

I like this idea.
Good for people who have an untitled topic but a couple of good pics of what they're making.
But... I's thinking. But yer. not really needed.

The point of this topic is to show off your 001 screenshots, not a desktop screenshot.

What are you talking about? This thread isnt useless. Instead of having to post an entire game, you post just a screeny. You get rated on the screenshot and not the game itself.

Okay, look, if the thread is useless, don't post and let it die.
Point is, instead of arguing whether it's worth posting or not, just post a screenshot to start the ball rolling (as of now I don't have any good ones).

Here's a screen of the road tiles I made for Ascendancy:Name here a while back. Also includes a bit of my grass, which may not be final. I haven't been working on this game very much, but everything I have made for it have been pretty nice looking.

(This also includes the Digital Clock thing I learned to do from a tut on the site, thanks for who ever wrote that.)

Not bad for sprites. Tilesets (brown stuff) could use more diversity or better design though.

Thanks. The little guys were made by metomunc, but I did the tank myself. This is just a testing map so I didn't pay too much attention to the tile detail.

You need to use more shading. Also, the blood is fluorescent orange... Other than that it's nice. :)

i actually think that a screenshot section is a really good idea because i often find myself searching for screenshots of games, and a lot of the times there have been no screenshots. i'd encourage people putting screenshots of their game in this section. i will most certainly be doing so. in fact, here's a screenshot of one of the newest levels we've been working on. its called 'the outskirts,'

Map is kinda plain, especially the toxic lake. And swampman looks slightly badly done. Although I like your item diversity, more can be done.

I think it is a cool idea creating a Topic for the Screenshots.

The outskirts look interesting... reminds me of Fallout 1 and 2.

Bubbles in the water (not everywhere, but every so ofter) would help too. Maybe two or three different dynamic objects would do it so that they aren't timed the same way.

Here's another screen of an actual map:

I like it except I think the ground could use some more detail (maybe dirt on the middle so it looks like a battle or something) and maybe you could put some bigger trees in the foreground than are in the backround to give it more depth. Really like the HUD though.

The reloading idea is good. The screen of Abandoned looks really plain though. You might want to add some stuff on the wall or something and make the floor tiles either smaller or bigger than the wall. Otherwise it looks like they are the same.

Note: Specialization is for Lv 5 and above, I'm using Lv 3 because I can't remember how much XP is required ==

Maybe a more cheery look can be achieved by the addition of more object diversity. Still a bit repetitive to me.

Agreed, it lacks a proper style.

Few of the resources works together, or haves shares a style. Tree stump and the log for example. All the trees compared to each other. And the stones and lower trees compared with the brightness of rest of the map.

Can't believe MIV missed that, but if he didn't, he could be a hypocrite for his own graphics clash in his own game.

Trees clash with your ground tiles, making it look odd. Though it's a good shot.

I love the second one, it makes me feel calm, but the palm tree sticks out.

Scaveleon, your first one looks frosty. I like it. I'd hav eot agree with serrafina on the second one though. EIther change the tree texture to complex leaves so it matches the grass or change the grass to be a smoother, simpler design.

Serrafina, both of your look kinda cluttered. There may be too much variety in resources and everything seems really close together. It's great that you have that many different resources, but I would spread them out a bit more throughout a game. Are the rocks roads or walls? Can't tell from the JPEG quality.

Mate, name me three games that don't have graphic clashes. Even minor ones count; well, my game DOES have some, so I'm working on that...
Serra, your gardens look great, but the walls seem a bit strange. The contrast between light and dark is too painful on mah eyes.
Scav, yours has minimal graphic clash (thank god you're not a hypocrite), but lacks detail. Especially the first screen. Maybe a few more objects?

It's supposed to be a generic area. I would explain if it wasn't one of my secrets. For the second one, it's not really present during the game, and was only meant to show the other enviroments and elements(sand, grass, house, wall, non-snowy trees).

In the one with the house it doesn't look like either of the trees quite fit with the ground tiles or the house color wise. I'm thinking maybe a darker more lush green on very leafy trees would match the house a bit better. Beautiful resources though.

If you insist; the trees don't look like trees. More like a big lump of green slime. Maybe I didn't mention that when I mentioned 'detail' but try adding some dark line stuff to at least show that there's leaves on that thing...

Strange room shape, but good design. Your artwork is extremely simple, but pretty clean for the most part. Can you actually make your character sit down on the couch and rest?

Relax, mate. It's just Scaveleon's tree... um, leaves. Somehow when they're clumped together they look kinda roundish.
As for yours, I like the customs and all, but HUD is a bit too basic (try adding a few items to it, animations would be nice), and sprites lack detail. Thankfully, though, minimal graphic clash.

Sweet boat. It looks perfect, like THE perfect shaped boat. Anyways, you wanted some feedbacks, and I got your back. I can see nice shadows done to your first sails, but to make it a better effect, you need to add some shadows on the lower deck, the brown part in other words in the front, like your sails.

There's something, different with the sunset...

The dark, foggy night is epic. It really does look foggy, really beautiful right there. If you need some more, just darken the back of the boat, just a tad bit more then the front.

Thanks Serra. Just wanted to show everyone the boat I made. Took ages to perfect it.
First it started out as this tiny 32x32(px) boat:
Ship.jpg

Then I enlarged it and had to curve the edges, plus add more detail. I am very satisfied with the end product (even though I still need to add some shading).

Haha I was pleased with myself. Usually I only stick to really small pixel-art. I sure suprised myself with a 256x256 boat. With curved lines!!! Something I was never good at. I should put some people on the boat and see how that looks :D

The big ship looks great. Maybe it can be even better with some woody graphic texturing on the hull.
Lighting effects (especially fog) are pretty pleasing to the eye too, except the sunset doesn't have enough yellow-orange gradient.
Little ship's doing fine, too. Again, try to squeeze in a wood texture.

Looks better, now all that's needed is a slightly crumplish or canvas-like texture to the sails. Not exactly important, but it's either that or shading.

If you look really closely, you can see a streak of shading. But seeing as it's barely noticable, I like your canvas idea. I'll try that and will keep posted.

I sort of like how your minimalist style works for you. Me, I would have spent hours getting stuck working on individual planks and such nonsense. I tried making a similar ship as a 3D model and quickly found that ships are actually really tricky to pull off.

Looks like the sails could use some 3-point lighting. (White on one side, very light grey, and slightly darker grey on the opposite side of the white).

A unit selection menu from one of my experiments. I only had 4 units to select from at this point in development, but I think you get the idea. I was playing around with the concept of a turn based war game. I got the team selection to work and map selector and such, but I haven't quite figured out the AI for the enemy. A little more complicated than I first invisioned. This menu is fully functional (well, as far as any of my games are functional).

Very interesting. Looks basic, but still appealing at the same time. Although, for the different yellow bars above the weapon types, you could position them in a holder or something; that may look cooler.

True on that. This was more about function than form, but that is something I hadn't thought of. It looks plain also because the bars are more sparse than when they are all visible. I had originally imagined there being more detail in the background, such as some form of graphic indicator of how much each height equalled. Perhaps if the bars were closer together as well.

Jegar:
I do like the way you worked off axis on some of the items. A lot of 001 games have a very square look to them, this helps break up the 2D barrier. The only thought I would have is to change up some of the repeating nature if you can (easier said when you work in 3D...). Like the crates looking all like clones. If they were shifted slightly in their angles it would really help give the scene life. That's purely being over picky though. It looks like you put a lot of work into the design though. Great work. It looks like you are progressing quite nicely as a game designer.

Tiles look kinda shifty. Other than that it's pretty nice. I wish I could see more of the enviroment than that huge street.

The second one needs some lighting changes as well, try a dark blue-gray light to give it more of an eerie feel, right now it looks like a foggy day, typical of days around here and many coastal places, not that eerie. The dark blue-gray light will also make it appear nighttime, If that is not what your going for, try just a darker light in general, I'm sure I'm missing something else to add to make it a bit more eerie.

Shadowed trees look a bit strange in the first one. Try dark green instead. Because in broad daylight, the trees will appear a darker shade, but the colors are still visible.

If possible, maybe. And even better, try to make the arrangement of trees less uniform; the distance is a little too standardized. Mess things up a bit; it's a forest, not a plantation.

Looks kinda messy for the HUD, shrink the font and don't use Arial.
Building slook a little unreal, but I like the effects made by the vehicles.

I still say it looks messy.
Especially the first one, so either reposition the effects so they don't clash with the borders, or remove them.
Buildings still look unrealistic, so try to shade a bit and add some details.

Somehow, your maps look like they have a very strange perspective angle at some instances. For instance, in the second screen, the boxes are somewhat 3D-ish, and the stairs are 2D. Same for the vent; try to homogenize the perspective you're looking from. Graphical clashes can be excused in some minor cases, but perspective clashes are very disorienting to the players.

Well, you do tend to use quite a lot of customs, that I can't disagree on.
But some of these customs are pretty substandard compared to the rest. For example, the box looks pretty okay, then the barrel next to it spoils everything; not to mention the 2D objects.
On a more advanced level, shading isn't done for the items, and they can have a better texture. For example, people would be more appealed to play a game with a standardized floor texture if it has a decent feel to it. Biggest problem is the shading. There's not enough color contrast in your customs
But like I said, work on the perspective. Then the shading.

I normally don't do shading in the tileset cause it screws up the lighting in the room and makes it all look weird.

At least make the contrast in your objects more obvious, and increase the detail level of the objects, otherwise they'd look too plain for a game like that.

What needs work? Yeah those cliff`s don`t corrolate, any thing else?

If you were refering to the brown cliff then yes, it seems very out of place, either remove it, like you said you would do, where you see the sky or alter it. Plus the two different trees clashes. The tents go well with the realistic trees, but the pine trees go well with the rock boulders. I like how well you laid down the camp though, there's plenty of room to roam, making you feel free.

Only thing is though it`s not a playable map, just my title screen. Were you talking about the the brown sky when you were refering to the brown cliffs? I`m confused, do you not like the sky or the cliffs? Now that you mention it the sky stincks I should use the new paralax thingy for that, this map was made before that came out and thats just a tile. I completly hate those cliffs! I failed at following the tutorial! The sides don`t match up and the shadeing only has two or three colors! Sorry I don`t like the cliffs, The tutorial works, just not for me ;) .

Brown and homogenous. With a few clouds that add to the greater contrast, I'd say not so bad. But this is wood brown. :|
The tents don't match anything else in the map either. Pretty big clash there, maybe reconstruct them to fit your style.

Jegar: Interesting feel, HUD's a bit too basic though (border, I mean). And how would you scroll down?
Gamer_dude: Interesting interface, although I think for something of that size, more detail can be placed into the lock. For example, an actual lock shape that varies per lock.

I think I see how it works. You line up all the red sections with the pointer? That would take a good load of scripting.

Lock picking hud looks pretty cool on it's own, but you might want to make sure that any chests or doors match the texture and color of the wood background you have there.

Yup. Tons.

MIV wrote:Gamer_dude: Interesting interface, although I think for something of that size, more detail can be placed into the lock. For example, an actual lock shape that varies per lock.

Yeah, I was thinking about adding something in the middle, like maybe some effects of pins inside the lock that open as you get each ring lined up.

Not quite, just making one of my games more interactive.

Most of the doors will be made of wood, and if they aren't, I'll make a code input interface with metallic styles :)

I don`t know what to do now, I added alot of ground objects and am wondering if it`s too messey?
Its supposed to be an abandoned house, but still, I`m not sure if it should be cleared up a tad. :)

Sickness, your pic looks good it fits the mood of your game very well. The only thing that's throwing me off is the perspective. The wall looks a bit funky.

FacialXpression, that is one classy looking criminal hideout my friend. The random papers scattered around really add alot. Not too sure what the black spider looking thing on the ground is though. A crack perhaps?

I used the world creator. Unfortunately after creating tiles with world creator you have real ISO- Tiles... so I had to put them together in Phtoshop to create tiles for 001. I don't know if there is an easier way but this way works with me.

The program is free - at least the 1.5 version.

Screen looks good, but the highscores seem out of place. You could show them once the game is over, like most classic games do.

It's displayed on the side so that you can see when you beat one of the high scores. Once you get past a high score, it replaces it with your current score so that there is a new high score.

It's a different kind of portal, more RPG and Less Portals. however we came across and interesting scenario which at this point works pushing a crate in front of the turrets we made actually gives you cover.

So far Half Life RPG implements moving crates and grabbing crates and barrels.
And it's not called portal for our game it's called Aperture and details some of the other survivors.
As for the character I purposely am reusing it because it is easy to animate this character and because i have a plethora of preexisting animations for it as well as scripting related to it.

@ sinjin: Your customs somehow don't really fit in. Probably it's the size, or the fact that the perspective is a bit strange. For the bushes, try making them have a rounder bottom.

@keligorm: The blue sparkly tiles don't fit in with the spikes (which I think are good, too).
The top parts of the HUD look good, but I think your stat bars at the bottom left need to be larger/more obvious.

It's kinda suposed to be like that. You are floating on a rock in astral space imprisoned by mages(Mage like to find elaborate ways to imprison people). The blue tiles in the background are actualy moving(because your floating), but you can't see that in the picture. Maybe if I darkened it alittle bit? Oh well it doesnt really matter you stay on that map for 3 minutes at max. About the hud it's far from finished, and I need to redo the interface completely(lots of scripting oh nohes) so its likely to change. Im suprised you didn't say something about the random rock in front of the character though hehe.

So it is supposed to look like Horazones Hideout from Diablo 2?

I think you should decrease the amount of white particles (stars?) per tile. Also the Floating rock does't really look like a floating plattform, cause it has no thickness. I like the Spikes and also the magican and their weapons look awesome.

As my english is not that good I manipulated the screenshot to show you what I mean with "thickness":

If those spiny things are supposed to be stalagmites, I'd suggest you don't cluster them together, vary their sizes and distance between each other, and spread them out more. That way it looks more 'cave/rock-like'.
As far as the stars are concerned, you could have that as a parallax background instead of a tileset.

@ Priest I never finished Diablo 2 so I wouldn't really know. I also like the idea of thickness, but I wasn't sure how to go about doing that. This is kind on Neverwinter Nights 2 when you go to talk to that dead god in the astral plane. Thats actualy where I got the idea.

@ MIV I still don't think you get it. The spikes aren't suposed to be natural in the first place because they where placed there by the mages to imprison you. Now the mages are coming to get you because they want you to fight in their arena.

Why would he need parallax for that? It's not like he's making it so the rock is "automatically" moving. :P

Ok, I'll rephrase that. With reference to your background color gradient and the stars, the star tiles look rather off-color. Perhaps you might want to leave the tiles transparent, save the stars themselves.

@Jegar: Nice shot, but what are the orangey-brown things in the top? Are they fire?

Looks good, but the walls could use a diversity in rock size, an amalgam of big and small rocks... and you could use more rocks scattered all over the place for environment/lower objects.

Here's a crappy screenshot of Theta-91 Industrial Colony. Compliments to sharp for making the supercomputers.
Graphic clash aside, are there any other flaws that need to be rectified? Pierrod and I are still a little perplexed.

Only the object on the very right side doesn`t really fit in - looks like an ISO-Object... and its a bit difficult to recognize things as the map is very dark - I suppose it is meant that way

It's meant to be dark. And the ISO thing is intentionally made to be slightly off. But it does have a strange perspective... I'll work on it.

Even though it's made to be dark, that's a bit too difficult to play in, it's like playing the dark room with no lights, for a second it's fun, but for a while, it's annoying.

That's more of personal preference, I'm afraid. Sorry, but most of my game is set dark. The only 'bright and happy' parts are at the front parts.

Schmitty59 wrote:i think the bots need to be a bit darker... then your good to go!

Something's wrong with the glow. But yeah, I'll try to darken 'em up.
There are also sentry bots around the map. They're intentionally glowing because if you get spotted, you raise the alarm. If I made them dark, everyone would complain.

Priest865 vs. ISO Round 3 ;)

It is a hard fight but at least it is worth it. I am not happy with the grass-objects and the grass-floortiles (too bright).

Looks good, but the grass kind of doesn't fit in, as you said. Perhaps it's the shading. Try adding more contrast between the different shades of grass for both the objects and tiles.

Already working on a new grass. I just thought about some type of small enemy which attacks from high gress where you can`t spot him that easily.

I am trying to give the game a similar dark atmosphere as Diablo. However other than in the diablo games it will take you a lot longer to figure out your nemesis.

Interesting, but the cracks could use a bit of shading to increase realism.
Love how you designed the buildings too; just cut down on standardization for the two on the left.

He doesn't need a 100% copy. But you could just change minor things such as the orientation of windows, number of objects etc.
Even simple things reduce the standardization used in the game.

He has a point. South side is a little drab. Maybe you don't want to place buildings there, but in that case add more environment objects for fields or something... rocks, flowers, etc.

The road clashes with the graphics, the grass might need more flowers and such, but it's a pretty good picture otherwise.

Well, whatever it is trees alone won't do for aesthetics. Too repetitive; instead try mixing in a few other objects too, e.g. rocks and logs.

Looking good... the top part is nice and vibrant. Bottom part still could use a few more objects though - the rightmost side is kinda plain.

Looks very industrial, but sketchy. I wouldn't ad fog, but a slight darkening of the map lighting and then lights placed where there is light might help stir things up a bit.

You can enhance that industrial feel by making some lights glow or blink.

Sounds good. Maybe make a variable called pollution that rises and causes the smog to appear if you do things wrong.

Adorable, but the weapon needs a more suitable holder, and the map could use a few decorations besides trees.

Perhaps objects on a smaller scale compared to the trees, at least. Not that it's bad without them, but it could be better. :D

Good replica... Love how you did the characters up.
But IMO, walls could use a few decorations or variants such as ones with bullet holes/cracks.

Most likely in his game. The parallax looks good, but perhaps you can diversify the tree shapes further for maximum effect.
Perhaps fill in the black background with more trees, but of a darker shade.

Top half looks decently detailed, bottom half could use a bit more of a texture, else it looks too plain.

Very Clean. I like it lots. Maybe a few rock bits underground and a drifting cloud or two could be helpful.
(You can add occasional drifting clouds using a Play effect event in a timer that ticks every 15 seconds or so. Play the effect on one side of the map and have it move to the other side by setting the directional arrow that way and set the speed to 0.01 or so.)

You might want to add some variation in the grass and soil colors, and if possible use a gradient for the sky color instead of a single color choice.

It's part of the giant grove in Gongo Warrior. I'm thinking I should somehow include some green stuff on the background trees, but every time I make something it turns out really weired.

Soil could still use a few color variations since it occupies a large percentage of the screen, but besides that it's looking a lot better.
And the changing game speed thing is pretty ingenious.

Show some screens of the interfaces you use, if you don't mind.
Also, perhaps you might want to experiment with other HUDs. Your current one is passable, but could be improved with the usage of shading or variations in the texture of wood you use. If your other interfaces use a wood background too, it might start to get a bit drab.

At this point most of the interfaces are message boxes, so I can use the comparison script to maximum effect but If I can figure out how to make a better interface it will actually make the game easier to make content.

The in-game HUD, I mean.
And for the message boxes, just in case you have already, try to use a different font other than Arial and a different background color besides blue.

Font fits in well with the dark background, but not with the light, though. Perhaps you can consider either changing the font or font color.

Here's an early screenshot of my TBB interface for the minigame I'm making. It's a graphical MUD (Text game thing, whatever. Plenty of graphics, but with minimal animation) that's going to be 100% custom. Meh, I'll make a topic for it when I release a demo.
I still plan to fix up some stuff for it, maybe a better color (though it is transparent) otherwise, once I finish working on the timer (disables fields, reveals some depending on variables and switches. Nothing special or complicated.) - it's completed.
Enjoy!

I like the way your text is squiggly for the fields. But just a word of advice; red on gray doesn't go very well. Might want to consider looking into the background color scheme a bit.

Erm, why? It reminds me of bloody writing on a gray wall, and I'd think that'd look cool.

Heh, I said it was transparent. :P
There's really no purpose for making it look pretty so it doesn't match with anything else. It's a combat interface, people will be more focused on fighting than how beautiful my background looks. :P

could be interesting - a text based game. HUD is OK - but it looks more cartonish because of the use of a lot of base colors.

Looks fine.

Now for some of my crap. The hero`s house, what to add to it? I`ve made plenty, but not enough...
Most on that screen is costom, a few things like the floor, the wood and the barrels and crates are default, the trees are Metomunc`s.
All costoms are made in GIMP, don`t pay any mind to the HUD or the character, their temporary.

Coloring looks nice. May want to spice up the hud a bit and ad diagonals to the grasses so they don't look quite so blocky. What's the blue spot on the ground? A puddle perhaps?

Looks awesome - good Idea with symbols instead of text for the menu items.

Well still working on details like rocks and mud.

BTW: I uploaded some of the trees which are quite similar to those in the screenshot. They are just waiting for approval.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the number "75" represents the number vault they are in, doesn't it?

 completely forgot about them

Made it with a software I once bought for a completely different purpose: IClone. It is originall meant to create Videos with it. You can create all kind of humanoid with and make animations quite easly. and export them to all types of images or video formats. However still took me a while to figure out how to create charas with it properly. Unforutantely creating monsters is still a challenge - especially non humanoid ones.

for map detail, you need small rocks, maybe some grasses, such as tall grass, not to tall, and maybe some mushrooms, logs, etc. Definatley bushes to put at the base of your trees.

I especially like the diagonal of the wall. Changes things up from the basic horizvert view. Try making several variations of the same thing for your enviroments. That way things won't look quite so repetitive.

The graphics look sloppy, not enough shading, I guess the sprite is okay. The repeated use of rocks looks repetitive, and there is virtually no level detail... tery creating a cleaner snow tile, maybe add some burnt grasses popping out of the snow (guessing its a post apocalytic game, rmeebr the fallout forum topic). There is also clash with your game charcater.

yes it does at first glance it doesn't, but when you start to slay those little thiniges it really does, you'd be very satisfied because the bloods everywhere and just you wouldn't notic that in the thick of combat.

I've been messing around with some especially detailed character sprites lately. Paying more attention to texture, shades, and stuff rather than making things that are grayscale suitable for recoloring. A bit of a break from tilesets for WH.

The ship was manufactured by Louis XIV's shipwright Co. in association with Walmart, McDonalds, and NASCAR. Toyota has no part in it.
All damages that you can see on the exterior are gained during battle. Repairing the broken parts gives your ship more HP. I haven't even touched interior damages yet. I'm stuck working out how to do the heat and mileage system.

Yeah those are some weapons and tools I've been fooling with. I still draw the basic shapes of most things in paint just because certain tools like the circle tool aren't available in paint.Net.
Stephen Chapman wrote: You don't need Pierre's assets anymore :D

Yeah, I'm not planning on using any of them for this project, but they always serve as great templates for stuff. For instance, a couch based off of Pierre's work, but with a slightly different build and very different color and texture:

The car is a vehicle. Download that picture and zoo in on it to about %800, dithering is a pattern or shade mad eusing every other pixel, almost like a grid, look at the top of the car, the grey part, it looks almost like a grid, that makes shades. Thats the best i can explain it for now.

I won't say spin because it's really a character piece for ease of scripting, but it does point in eight different directions.

It's not too hard rotating them once you have one diagonal and one straight direction; the rest is just 'Rotate 90 degrees CW".

Love the customs, but don't particularly like the perspective of the tanks and all; are they 8-directional in their spriting? If not, consider making some adjustments to fit the rest of your sprites.

Loving the engine, the developers should be extremely proud. Haven't seen a better free 2d engine around.

Heres a sneak peak of what I recently started developing! As you can tell, it's very SNES inspired! (Thus, the open building design, small trees, all graphics being 16x16 resized to 2x)

Also, I'm relatively new to the community, although not very active at the moment - I'm looking forward to learning a lot, and becoming more involved, so; hello all! :)

Your trees fail to impress me like the other graphics because the cut logs are the same size of the tress. You make need to change that.

Amusing. It's not the logs that are inconsistent, its the trees themselves, which is intended. The logs serve as a decoration, as do the flowers, vases, and everything else that seems gigantic in comparison to the trees. It's just a personal choice, abstract in style if you would. I'm trying to adapt a style in SNES games, where even trees and other objects were limited to 16x16, whatever their reasons. I guess I made an exception for the bed though.

Thanks for the feedback though. I actually have another strong reason for having the logs that size. You can jump over them, haha.

That's good; I just really meant it threw off your nice porportional game. Like Golden Sun, everything appears to relate to the same size, but you should really consider some exceptions for Mountains and Trees.

I disagree. Such a genre of games are based off its predecessors, where the sprites are proportionate to the character and all for that cutesy feel. Each tile is no exception. Take for example games like Legend of Zelda (the older few versions).
If his motive is to simulate such a game, then there is no reason to modify the given tileset.

Heres a sneak peak of what I recently started developing! As you can tell, it's very SNES inspired! (Thus, the open building design, small trees, all graphics being 16x16 resized to 2x)

Means your game version isn't old enough. :D Point is, it's his graphic style, and I've seen that in a few games (Pokemon/turn-based RPGs having a similar concept).

Starting to look good so far; North still a WIP, or is it intentionally devoid of trees?

Was considering adding a little shine to it; but then it'd make the outline stand out a little too much.
Also, the grip isn't metal.
