Nintendo 3DS!

Postby 2cool4me4 » Tue Aug 31, 2010 1:46 pm

Hello all! Here you can discuss the Nintendo 3DS! Yes, it is soon-to-be-released, but so what? Let's get a jump on the talk! I would like to start with:

Why get this dang thing? Aside from 3D and an analog stick-like thing, this is just another DS lite. And it doesn't even have a GBA port. Really? However, it will probably have "3DSware". So.... I'm more of a neutral than anything.

Plus, here's a link!

Lol. But the first one sucked. I got the DS lite while my Frenemy had to keep his original! I rock. \m/

Sheesh, I almost got ninja'd. Yeah, it looks cool. But really? No GBA port? now they can make accessories that fit into an SD card slot. Good luck with that. Now you can't play Guitar Hero or any of the like. I guess that you couldn't do that with DSi either, but... Yea I guess you can dissmiss that thought.

Well, they didn't make the DS to play gameboy advanced games did they?

They just made that an extra. IF you wanna play GBA then buy a GBA. You don't see me going.

Some DS games require a GBA slot, such as the aforementioned Guitar Hero. Besides, it would be easier to buy one handheld that played two games than buy two separate handhelds.

I'm against it. They'll just keep bringing out new models and I don't want to waste my money.

The problem is that the very first model have GBA support, but they removed it in their later models. That wasn't a problem for the GBA models. Only the layout were different.

And yes, it means, no matter which DS model you pick, you'll miss a great feature that another model haves. I know it's complicated technology, but they should still aim for making the ultimate DS rather than lots of models with one thing unique to them each.

Meh, I'll stick with my old DS.

Nintendo also doesn't care much for it's customers. Hence the 3 or 4 new DS consoles in the last year.
They are trying to make as much money as possible. Don't count on them listening to the consumer.

Yeah... It's always about the money, not the product. That's the sad part. You can get a lot of success by listening to the customers.

So does Sony listen to people? I don't know because I only have a PS2.
(random) Honestly, I think that people should stop obsessing over graphics. What happened to gameplay? I mean, really.

Also, taking features OUT of a product that help it sell is really bad. If Sony took the analog stick out of the PS controller, what would it be? If anyone from Nintendo is reading this, take heed!

I think 3D is so over-rated. It's just a ploy to gain more money, and everyone wants in on implementing it.

Yeah, that is true. But how does it work! The 3D on the 3DS without glasses?

Well, you see... (long lecture) ... and that's why Nintendo won't tell us.
Honestly, I will get the DSi, but this, no. They will just charge $20-$30 more for games, and what's the big difference? If it doesn't have a graphics rating over 4-something, how can 3D be in the question? You tell me.

I heard they are putting the same lens that are on 3D glasses over the screen of the 3Ds, for the same effect.

Why can't they do the same in cinemas and home televisions?

They don't care about the customers, remember? Only about their own projects and what they can do.

The PS4 is planned to implement full 3D no glasses games..
There is already 3D TVs and they say they are working on no glasses 3D but unfortunatly for them we know that's a lie.

You see, putting "3D glasses" on the screen wouldn't work. In order for 3D to work, each eye must see a slighty different picture. That's how the old red and blue 3D glasses worked. It's also how we see 3D in our own life. The glasses worked because the one eye could see the blue lines, while the other could see only the red. So you saw a 3D picture. Today's polarized 3D glasses work in the same way, only they see light going in the different directions. This should explain:

Hope that can clear a little of this up! Now, keep discussing!
