Top 5 "Free-to-play" Online Games

Postby Adam » Fri Jul 06, 2012 9:39 am

Aight, here's my list:

5. Quake Live

Ah, good ol' quake. However, old is the only world I can think of. QL is basically a browser based port of Quake III.
The problem with this game is that all weapons from the original game have been nefred, making it all that less satisfying. Regardless, it's still quake. And it's free!

4. Blacklight: Retribution

Blacklight feels very familiar...almost too familiar, but it has just enough cool little additions to stop it from feeling generic.
The game is set in a not so near future and it plays a lot like call of duty in terms of close quarters combat. Download

3. Tribes: Ascend

Stunning visuals, huge maps, fantastic speeds and a lot of freedom. Download

2. League of Legends

LoL is a really good moba type game, if you're a fan of Dota there's no reason why you shouldn't check it out. Download

1. Team Fortress 2
(I don't think this was a surpriseto anyone :P)

TF2 is an exceptional game with tons of style and a nearly flawless business model. If you're still not convinced, you can check out my in-depth guide of the game here
or head straight to the download page :)

What are your favorites?
Somewhere out there, is a planet with no war, no hunger, no poverty, no killing, and no evil.
It also has no oxygen

I believe Planetside 2 is F2P and I am excited for it!
