Cucco Dink vs Oreo Bros. - Quest for the Folder

Postby Dunce » Thu Jul 10, 2008 8:21 pm

This game will be epic and awesome.

Dink has always been picked on for being small. The most used insult is cucco dink, since he's as small as a cucco! One day the Elder of Kariko Village got a note from the Mario Bros. saying they stole the highly valuable treasure called the folder! Its magic powers of holding papers has been sought after for 1000s of years and the Mario Bros. now have it!

To prove his manhood, Dink sets out to return the folder and not get picked on anymore!

The character there is thinking 'These graphics don't fit in with me, how should I crush them or are there too many and I should get replaced?' ;)

Hey, I ripped some of those same sprites too. The only complaint I have ... well the two complaintas I have are that you need to change the main character to something more "linkish" and you need to finish BLACK WHITE before you finish this one. ;)

I plan to make the three Dinks and NPCs and enemies once the next version comes out. And this is going to be a short parody for laughs. Black|White is still going I'm just doing this for fun!

I haven't really worked on this because I have got myself all excited for FF Tactics A2. I ordered and it is coming sooon! I plan to finish the Koriki(or whatever I called it) village and Dink's house and the path between them soon and then I'll make a demo out of that.

I might make it serious, but how can I can a quest for a folder to something serious while keeping the funny?

The map is 50x50, the tiles have been enlarged to 32x32 from 16x16. I zoomed out to 50% to get the whole map. Which makes it look like what the original tile looked like.

Lol, I don't know if I can make serious games. hahah.

haha, exactly, if you start a new game you will lose interest in it pretty soon ;)

You just have to suck it up and work, it may be hard but atleast do a little bit, then close 001 and do something else then come back to it later.

I should really take my own advice :P

Maybe you should change the names of the Mario bros. too. Maybe call them the "Italian Plumbing Brothers." Or you could make a whole organization and call them the "Italian Plumbing Mafia." Malio and Luiri could be the ring leaders.

Incorporating Koopas that help you do certain things would be good too. Only don't call them Koopas of course. Maybe they could be "the league of absolutely innocent turtles" or L.A.I.T.
