Please be more specific on what you're asking :-P With the little info you provide it's a bit unlikely that we will be able to help you. What exactly do you mean when you say speed? Are you referring to it's usage time? I'm also having trouble understanding what you mean by a complete attack and not half a one.

Already communicated...
Normally, the time of attack is influenced for:
-time of the item used
-time of the event that use custom pose
-time of the animation in "sprite" section

what i meant by speed of melee attack is...

playing the slash pose slower or faster between melee weapons.
================================================
the http://www.engine001.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=29225

only tells me how to play all of my melee weapons the same speed because they all will use the same play custom pose (at the moment)

================================================

so, do i need make a different play custom pose or pose for every weapon (because like i said each weapon has a different speed playing the slash animation/pose)? if so how?
(making a different pose for every weapon but using the same attack button)

or is there a different way?

If you can put the same speed in all weapons,
to happen with only one pose,
to start with only one "play custom pose",
your system will be easier.
The time in all three things normally is the same, to happen correctly.

Another solution to you is:
The engine evolves to a point that have a box value :usevalue: in the locations: "Item Usage Speed" and "Sprite Animation Time" :lol:
