Motor Combat V1.0 Updated

MOTOR COMBAT
This game puts you behind the wheel of a tricked out ride, equipped with machine guns, missiles and the works. it will pit you against other tricked out vehicles in a battle royal.
GRAPHICS
The graphics are truly awesome, the backgrounds and levels have a unique look to them that makes the vehicles and pedestrians stand out.
WEAPONRY
You can trick out your ride with missiles, chain-guns, armor, and nitrous.
SOUND
Massive explosions, missile fire, chain-gun blasts, pedestrians screams, it's all here!
CONTROLS
The car controls are some what clunky, so stick with it, it will get better in time!
MULTIPLAYER
I plan to have a death-match mode of the game that it 2 player, but your ratings, opinions and stuff will affect the yes/no decision.
CARS
All the car sprites are drawn by me and they are awesome, you can see in the screens below.
But the cars move somewhat clunky, it will get better in time though.
EXTRAS
The game already has destructible objects, killer music, and the addition of people. Thats right, pedestrians will walk the arena. I am working on their sprites right now. You can burn em, shoot them, and burst them open, making for a little extra fun, some even have power-ups like HP and missile up-grades.
RACE MODE
There will be a race mode in the game for those who want to chill out from the high octane action. There will be 5 tracks for you to test your racing kill on.
NEW SCREENS
Coming soon, some have already been released on Page 4 under the first post Zhuge Liang made. Enjoy.

Thank you zhuge, anybody else... oh, if anybody has noticed the blue car sprite, i put ammo-head as the driver, he just doesn't know it yet. He's a friend so it's all good.

That looks really good. I love those graphics it looks fun.

Nice graphics. You should make drivers as bosses. Like ammohead is a boss, i'm a boss ect. We could all have street gang nicknames. Also you should be able to be chased by the cops.

Okay to answer everybody, ammo-head, you are driving the blue car, zoom in and you'll see, also, there will be special cars as bosses, one boss i am working on a a monster truck. Gamer-dude, this game will be awesome, and there will be no cops, you are put in a area with other 'contestants' and you wil fight to the death. i will add stuff similar to it though. Serrafina, the pedestrians (below) can all be killed, they have death animations, idles, and walking, all of the death animations involve flying limbs!, soem have power-ups too, and you start out with a chain-gun on your vehicle, it's the default weapons, but there will be missiles and what not. I have these two, and a hobo, a business woman, and a secret pedestrian, a clown. ;)

I still load up Twisted Metal Black on the PS2 occasionally...unhealthy fascination with weapons mounted on vehicles. :D

This looks to be a lot of fun.
How many surrealists does it take to change a light bulb?

Two. One to paint the giraffe and one to fill the bathtub with brightly colored machine tools.

No, it is in no way similar to that movie, that movie was a rip off of carmageddon 1 & 2, the whole series in fact, and twisted metal. ;) Zhuge, got your sprite done. I'll post screens in a bit.

Evergreen, I will keep all of you updated.
Serrafina, if by course, you mean levels, there will be secret destructible objects that can unlock cars and power-ups. There will also be secret pedestrians, pedestrians you don't see normally, one is a clown, the other is Zhuge Liangs slug. Plus on top of that, some pedestrians have power-ups released when you run-over, shoot, explode, or maim them. If by the game itself, i want to add a racing mode with other opponents, and possibly a multiplayer mode. ;)

Zhuge, is it okay if your sprite has green blood? The slug snaps in half for the dying animation. ;)

To answer all questions, yes I will add COC1's idea, all the dying animation consist of pedestrians limbs falling off and a barge of blood squirts. And MIV, YOUR in a car that has missles, mac=hine guns, etc. And then you go up against other cars, pedestrians are just caught up in the battle. ;)

When i release the demo, i will have you guys give car ideas. right now lets stick wit pedestrians. ;)

heres the levels I got done before I sent my project to mike to fix a bug-
-The City (on first page)
-Chemical Plant
heres ones I plan to make
-Jungle
-The Suburbs
-Ship (oil tanker)

each of these levels have at least 2 secrets, like shooting at a funny looking or crumpled wall, you can blow it up and a whole bunch or secret pedestrians will pop out and try to run away. Or a power-up could be included in there.

Are you really able to script the other cars to follow your movement pattern and attack you? The other aspects of your game seem okay, but when it comes to scripting, that's where your problems begin.

Guys, how else can a car shoot in 001 without bugging, and they follow you. The cars are characters! I though teveryone knew this. ;) And I just set a movement pattern for them, then add the AI, so they aren't always attacking just you. ;)

Runescape is an MMORPG
001 currently does not have any online features (Soz if i'm wrong)
There is a 2Player tutorial in the tutorials section

yes it would! And think, if we had a 2 player mode, think of what you could do given the carnage, destructible enviornents, and those puny pedestrians. All though the fat guy pedesrian might not be that puny... :shock: :lol:

hey guys, i have an idea, i made a gangsta pedestrian, maybe he could shoot at your car. Or cops that could shoot. For certain levels of course.
